Lord, I need this time every morning to meet with You alone. And, in these special times, would You teach me to pray in the way You really long to hear. Help me to learn more about You, Lord. Your Word tells me “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.” Well, I thirst for You, Lord. My life is a desert without You. I know You are around me, but I want to experience it deeper than ever. I want to draw near and dwell in Your presence like never before. In the moments when my mind is spinning wildly with thoughts other than thoughts about You, speak to me in that moment to steer my thoughts back to You. When my spirit is broken and my hope is fading, speak to me in that moment…repair my spirit, and pour Your power into my heart. And, when You have touched my heart, help me to listen carefully to hear You speak my name. Help me listen to You so You may guide me and direct me in all my ways. Most of all, when the ears of my heart are open, help me hear You say to me, I love you. Lord, I take the mind of Christ as my thoughts for today. I am thankful and rejoicing in everything knowing that You are all in control of all things working them together for the good of them that love You. And now, Lord, I commit myself to You that You might fill me with Your Holy Spirit and anoint me, Your cleansed and ready vessel, with a spirit of grace and compassion. Let me hear Your voice. “Speak Lord, Your servant is listening.” Amen
