Lord Jesus, you demonstrated for us what kind of leadership our families, our communities, and the church needs. Although the Son of God, you humbled yourself to be a servant to other people to bring benefit and good things to people’s lives and you commissioned your disciples and us to lead like you. Help each of us to develop and cultivate a humble servant-like attitude. And we also pray earnestly that you will raise up in the church leaders who lead like servants; not for themselves as a selfish thing, but only to bring good and benefit to the people that they lead. We pray this, Lord Jesus, in your holy name, Amen.
