Lord we choose you to worship in this morning. Let us lay aside our worldly endeavors and approach your throne of mercy with our whole beings. Have mercy upon us when we have forgotten you and wondered into the wilderness seeking other gods like security, pleasure or power. Confront our disobedience and draw us back to you O God. Forgive our feeble minds when we forgotten your presence is near. Invade our senses and take control of our lives. Instill in us your thoughts, your words that we may respond to the hurting and frightened world as Christ did long ago. With each step we take help us lean more upon your presence and less upon ourselves. Pour your Holy Spirit into us once more that our hunger and thirst may be satisfied by your grace alone. Come and feed us till we want no more and desire only you precious Lord. Lead us to the cross to praise and magnify your Holy Name. Amen.
