Lorene Morton Tatum, 76, of 926 Taggart Avenue, died on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Hospice House of the Piedmont. Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Morton and Rosa Huggins. She was a former member of Macedonia Baptist Church and was attending New Generation Outreach Ministries. She leaves to cherish her memories, one sister, Jessie Boyd of Stanford, CT; six nephews, James Boyd, Eugene Boyd, Glen Boyd, all of Stanford, CT, Michael Boyd of Stratford, CT, and Tommy Boyd of Newburgh, NY, and James Lake of Greenwood; two nieces, Dorothy Jean Wells of Greenwood and Carolyn Robert of Stratford, CT; one god-daughter, Juna Tolbert Deal of Greenwood; a close friend, Georgette Davis of Greenwood; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Services are 11 a.m. on Friday, September 27, 2013 at the Chapel of Robinson & Son Mortuary, Inc., conducted by Rev. Derrick Scott. Burial will follow in The Evening Star Cemetery.
