Los Angeles will loose a great source of reporting early African American History in Southeast Los Angeles. Eighth and Wall will no longer be reporting the history of Black Los Angeles. Yesterday I received the following notice from the President of Eighth and Wall, Mr. Beverly Eighth And Wall FAREWELL Eighth & Wall, Inc., is closing its doors. It has been a rewarding journey over the last ten years in discovering and presenting the African American history of Los Angeles and sharing its pride with each of you. When we began, very few institutions were interested in capturing this treasure and sharing it in a meaningful way. That has since changed, though the challenge is far from over. Perhaps our best work, the documentary The Eastsiders, was broadcast at least six times, thanks to our steadiest supporter, Sabrina Thomas, Program Manager at KLCS-TV, and was shown at several institutions throughout the area We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for you interest and support over the years and hope to see you in the future. W. Beverly Thank you Mr. Beverly for researching collecting and reporting the early history of Los Angeles Eastsiders. President
