Losing my Mom at age 23 framed my life. Today has been an up and - TopicsExpress

Losing my Mom at age 23 framed my life. Today has been an up and down day. Up as I was productive during the day, spent time with some good people and got a favorable ruling for a client to have a lot more time with her children. Down as I learned that a friend took her life. Further down as I learned how she took her life. Further down for other reasons including reliving the impact of losing my Mom . Up as I spoke with a few people and prayed. Down and immediately up after blocking a friend who was candid enough to admit she was no friend at all. Now, relaxing on my patio and absorbing the yin and yang of life so to speak . I loved meeting sooo many great teens at Ramblewood Middle and Coral Springs High School and invited them to our next leadership project. So, in short how has losing my Mom framed my life? I learned at a very young age that tomorrow is not guaranteed to us. Once I learned to accept my grief and accepted the help of others including the bereavement counselor I saw, I began to have a much greater appreciation for every day, many, many more moments and differences as being just that and nothing more. Life is interesting, difficult, not fair at times and whatever we make of it. I am grateful for my life, my family, my friends and community. For those of you truly in my life, thank you. For those of you just reading posts ....well, all the best to you as well. Good night all.
