Losing my self in your affection I threw out hope only to have it turn around and caress me lately the agenda for my days has simply been to make it through them holding onto to the few raw nerves I have left with in my short circuited and abused nervous system No matter how hard I try to kill you off in my mind your presence is costly and constant Shocked and confused irrationally laughing and crying at once the lesson you taught me was delivered abruptly and harshly while you pretended that you felt the pain as badly as I did it was impossible for me to over look that this was all resulting from your decision that this was the safest most respectable choice I was once trusted by you with your deepest darkest memories good enough for a time for you to draw unconditional reassurance from now that the world has turned placing us in different perceived social classes I am now worth less than I used to be worth in your eyes We found our selves unwanted refugees in the land of our birth digging our claws into the frayed edges of society existing for today with no sense of any security .
