Lost a client today for the first time in an age.. The reason? I gave them what they needed in order to meet their KPIs instead of splurging a load of does nothing bullshit to win a pitch. School boy error. The feedback would have been funny, if it wasnt so utterly depressing in the depth of its stupidity I was that ]-[ close to not even putting a fee quote forward when they asked, because the process was completely cack handed and to be honest, Weve been close to walking away 2 or 3 times, but the old turnover head says no, despite the relationship being totally inefficient. Theres one really good person up there that made me think wed give it a last push, but Im really really sorry I bothered. Should have spent the week dealing with a battle I could win. Anyway, beer garden weather :)
