Loudoun Sheriff Michael L. Chapman Presents Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute Scholarship go.usa.gov/5fTB Loudoun County, VA- Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman presented a check to Emily Basler today as part of the Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute (VSI) scholarship program. Ms. Basler, a Leesburg, VA, resident, graduated from Loudoun County High School and will be attending Virginia Tech in the fall. “Emily represents the Virginia Sheriff’s Institute’s mission of promoting integrity and education within the law enforcement community,” said Sheriff Chapman. “This scholarship will assist her in her educational endeavors and her pursuit of a career in the criminal justice field,” he added. The scholarship program, established by the VSI’s Board of Directors, was established to provide an opportunity for young people across Virginia to pursue an educational curriculum in law enforcement or the criminal justice field while attending a Virginia college or university. The Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute (VSI), Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization that encourages charitable and educational activities among the sheriffs and deputies within the Commonwealth of Virginia to educate the public and to do any and all things to promote the enforcement of law and order and the suppression of crime. ###
