This is also common with people with Manic Bi-Polar when we have our Manic episodes. Or people with ADHD.............This is just how I feel sometimes. Laura, do you remember when you lived with me and there were times when Id be stressed out and would CRY because I could hear silverware touching each other while you were doing the dishes downstairs?? This is the BEST video Ive ever seen that explains that. The inability to focus. The over stimulated hearing. What it doesnt show is that when someone speaks to you, its worse. You only hear bits and pieces and you get very confused. And when the person gets angry at you for not listening, their aggravation, or yelling, makes your confusion even worse. Since coming off all medication, I have to say that these episodes have been pretty much non-existent for me. I can FEEL them coming on and I know to excuse myself from anything but total peace and quiet. Sometimes Ill just go to my room, sometimes go and sit in the car. Or sometimes just go to a quiet part of an area and not want any attention brought to me. I tagged the people that I did, because I feel that they need to understand me........and understand other people in their life and what a 10 minute segment of their day MAY be like...... If you wonder WHY they blow up, or run away, or get quiet and defensive....... This is MY reality, so Im sharing with you so that you might better understand........
