Love Is Charity (AGAPE) Love is always giving, always caring Simply put, the best Its full of kindness and full of patience And it overrides the rest, Love is long-suffering Never full of envy, it is clear Seeketh not her own And is not easily provoked by us down here, It doesnt think of evil Nor rejoiceth in iniquity But rather rejoiceth in the truth Which is clear for us to see, Love hopeth and believeth All things, it is true Beareth and endureth Doing whatever it must do, This Love never faileth This giving, caring Love you see This ever-lasting version of Love Which God calls Charity. Richard Dottery Copyright ©2013 Richard Dottery *** LOVE What is this thing called LOVE The Bible makes it clear Its not of lust and passion As is attributed to it down here, We are told to Love the stranger And to love our neighbor, too We are taught to Love our mother and father And one another, thats me and you, We are commanded to Love, The Lord our God With all our heart and mind and soul We are reminded that Gods love for us Provided, His Son a Savior, to make us whole, Jesus Loved us so, He gave Himself A sacrifice for you and me We are told to Love one another With that selfsame Love as He, We are told to Love without dissimulation Without phoniness and not for show Just to Love one-another with a pure heart Like our God, who Loves us so, We are encouraged, to abound in love Let it cover and overwhelm me and you And to Love our fellow believers With a Love thats faithful and true, God so Loved He gave His Only Son To provide salvation, for you and me Jesus loved us so, He gave Himself HISLIFE, to set us free, So now you see, why Real True Love So pure, and giving free Can fulfill all Gods commandments While freeing, you and me, Love God with all your heart And mind and soul, its gotta be And Love your neighbor as yourself Gods Law of Love, by this youll forever be set free.
