Love/ Relationships/ Marriage September 3- Mind Your Head “Mind your head” was as a phrase we continued seeing on signs while in the U.K. Sometimes the English have a different way of saying things from americans even though we share the same languge. We noticed while in England when in tight places (where you may bump your head), these warnings served to prevent one from injury. These signs are good reminders not only to “mind your head” in the physical realm but also in the spiritual realm. The Bible tells us we are to have “the mind of Christ” but how many times during the day must we remind ourselves to do just that? Philippians 2:5, “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” There are many benefits to having the mind of Christ, “in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Col. 2:3). One is that we will come to “the full knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ (and God’s Spirit which is the Holy Spirit)” (v. 2). “For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit and delight to see how disciplined you are and how firm your faith in Christ is” (v. 5). Come Holy Spirit! We have been on a journey in our marriage with the Holy Spirit. We have seen the unique and critical role He plays in our staying unified as husband and wife.
