Love doesnt self - destruct. We choke it with our unkind words. We starve it with empty promises. We poison it with toxic blame. We break it by trying to bend it to our will. No, love doesnt die on its own. We kill it. Breath, by bitter breath. Wise are those who realize they hold the fate of their love in their hands, and blessed are those who keep it alive. The softness of these tears cut my flesh as her words pierce my heart. The beat of my heart pounds as drums in the night calling me to the cliff. I stand upon the edge, looking over the world around me in wonder... where in it is my place.
