Love is a choice between tough love and compassion or hatred and anger. Sometimes you have to go against a feeling of the latter. It kills you and the ego dies a bit, but it is worth it. The ego aims for an earthly and carnal pleasure, yet it is fleeting. The physical does not go with you, yet the spirit cannot be destroyed as it is a manifestation of pure energy. Which would you feed as an investment? You get what you give, one way or another. You slack, it shows. You fail to lead or follow by example, you fall. There is always someone willing to take your place in anything. Someone hungrier or more motivated when comfort has made you weak.
