Love me some John Marble! He doesnt hold back what he thinks. Reminds me of this chick named Brenda-something. i know that i frequently share about the perks of my job as a nurse-anesthetist not being what they once were, how i havent received a raise in over eight years, and [in fact] how i was recently cut 20% in pay before i basically said screw it and went part-time; just to remind you all of a few of the unfortunate circumstances that ive cited on this forum. well... today im going to actually write about a perk of being an anesthetist that will never go away: informed choice of a surgeon. the fact is that i have a list surgeons at my house that [in the event of an emergency] are not allowed to touch me and an alternative surgeon already lined up and verbally committed to be on standby should something (god-forbid) happen to me, my wife, or one my kids, necessitating the services of one on the list that just-so-happens to be on call. well, this got me to thinking: the lay person has no such perspective or list. how could they? to them every surgeon or physician in general is the same. the truth of the matter is that in the past ive been conflicted and torn between both my profession and my personal concern for people on many occasions. for instance, if i hypothetically happened to run into a friend in the parking lot of the hospital on my way in to work and in the process of conversing with them found out that they were there so that dr. [insert name] could operate on a specific body part, then as a friend/acquaintance im perfectly within my rights to inform them to find another surgeon, question the operation altogether, or perhaps run like the wind, if so inclined. however, if i ran into the same person on the same day, only this time the conversation were to take place in the preoperative area, i could actually lose my job or perhaps be sued for slander simply for saying the exact same thing. after all, it matters not what you say, it only matters the setting and context in/of which you say it. that being known, as a network marketer today, i hope that you can appreciate the context and setting that im coming from on this page. in many cases, ive been there before, whether literally or figuratively. no pedigree? i can relate. poor as dirt? been there, done that. manual labor? yep. i still get nauseated when i see a truckload of drywall being delivered somewhere. waiter/waitress? lets just say that theres a reason that im a notoriously good tipper and go out of my way to be pleasant with such people. thinking about nursing school? uh huh... i hear ya. working hard as a nurse on nights, weekends, and on holidays? feeling unappreciated? oh... the memories. thinking of graduate school in order to increase your income and perhaps better your hours? yeah... tell me again what the student loan interest rate is now? finding yourself pregnant before being done with school? well, i havent ever been pregnant, but i did become a father during my last year of grad school. the career that you worked so hard to achieve not necessarily as luxurious as you once dreamed? hi... im right here. dealing with an unsupportive spouse as you try to get your plexus business off the ground? [cough] guilty. wanting to choke those close to you for not trusting your instincts, ignoring your results (both physically and financially), and basically watching you receive all of your blessings from a safe distance; but still thinking its a scam and that you arent trustworthy enough to discern whether or not that claim is true? preach it, brother. (somebody get me a drink of water, please) [sip. gargle. swallow. better.] (cracking knuckles) people, in multiple instances i have both the perspective and the context down pat; however, the setting is up to you. you can choose to listen to me regarding the lie youve been sold and the better alternative outside of the hospital as a confidant or inside the hospital, whereas im basically limited to nodding my head in agreement and reaffirming your poor choice as im rolling your stretcher into the operating room. in other words, when you tell me that youre going back to school, getting another job, or finding a cheaper daycare in order to make ends meet, its rude and beyond social norms for me to assail or lambaste what are otherwise noble endeavors, all with the hopes of you seeing that my way is better. however, here on facebook as your friend or on #johnspinkdrink as your humorous politically incorrect weekly dose of reality, were outside of the hospital and im not necessarily talking directly to you. in fact, im sitting in my car by the hospital entrance with my windows down speaking into a bullhorn: stop! consider what youre doing! danger and possibly heartache ahead! do you see the difference here? one vantage point takes into account both your feelings and my position, whether its either as an employee that needs to keep his job or as someone who cares for you that would like to remain friends. the other says yo dawg... let me shoot it to you straight and tells you like it is, all without smiling in your face and/or nodding in agreement - while [from my perspective] grimacing inside that the choice youre making or not making is poor in nature. so... here it goes again: THIS is neither a scam, nor is it a scheme. the plexus products work and in many instances actually change the quality of peoples lives. and it just so happens to be a legitimate business opportunity, too; one that doesnt cost a fraction of the investment or time that it takes to franchise, yet i can cite you multiple instances on our team, alone, where the money made in return is faster, greater in amount, more frequent in nature, and just as green as the money that you are not guaranteed as a franchise owner. on top of that, youve never been appreciated in your life like you have by a customer whose life has changed as a result of the product(s), a fellow-ambassador thats now reaping the benefits of the business that you once sold them on, or the company in general that showers you with gifts, trips, and bonuses for simply doing something that youre already passionate about. that, my friends, is john marbles #plexusfreedom talk, in a nutshell, and it doesnt get any more real than that. #johnspinkdrink
