Love really is the answer. If we could just grasp the truth that others are more important than ourselves and start loving unconditionally in every circumstance, we could get rid of pride and every other sin that follows in its wake. Did you know that pride was the original sin? It entered Satan and he passed it to Adam and Eve when they chose their own way and ate the fruit. Pride is pretty much the root cause of every mistake we make. Now the Bible says the love of money is the root of all evil and it is true, but if you think about it, the love of money comes from the love of self. I want all the money for myself so I can get everything I want. Pride. If we give in to temptation, usually the convincing factor is the pleasure we think it will give us. One again, a focus on me. Pride. I think that pride goes much deeper than any of us realize. Even not cleaning up that little mess we saw at the grocery store comes from it. My schedule is too busy for me to stop and help that person out. Focus on me. Pride. Learning to truly be like Christ means forgetting about ourselves entirely. Our primary focus should be, how can we show the most love in this situation, and how can we do it so God gets the most glory? So Im gonna make that my focus. Im not gonna let another opportunity to love slip me by. Whos with me?
