Low on food but I had just the right ingredients to make some home made cocoa cookies. Theyre like brownie cookies. Heat oven to 350 F. Mix 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 reg granulated sugar 1/2 butter (yes, butter, not margarine. I dont eat that fake stuff anymore) Mix that till its well fluffy and blended. Add 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla Blend again. In separate bowl mix 1 cup of flour with 1/3 to 1/2 cup of baking cocoa, then add 1/2 tsp. of baking soda and a sprinkle of salt. mix that up and make sure the flour and all isnt clumpy. Then blend that with your mixer in with the wet stuff till well blended. Should look almost like brownie mix and smell like it, too. :) Drop truffle sized dough on a cookie sheet that youve either got baking parchment on (I didnt), or lightly coat with a cooking oil. (I used olive oil, didnt mess with the flavor at all. Bake for 8 to 12 minutes. They may come off slightly gooey when you put them out to cool, but they should not fall apart. If they doo then they need to stay in another minute or two. Mine came out very, very yummy. If you have some, you may put Reeces peanut butter pieces on them before baking or throw in a handful or two of milk chocolate morsels.
