Luxgen U6 Turbo, a made in Taiwan car, top of the range model - TopicsExpress

Luxgen U6 Turbo, a made in Taiwan car, top of the range model selling at New Taiwanese Dollar 959,000 after all taxes (about 100,000 MYR). It comes with feature that you can only find in pricier Continental brand. For a brand that is less than 10 years since its formation and build upon a domestic total vehicle sales volume not more than 300k units a year in Taiwan, which is half the total of Malaysia. They certainly were not aiming or rely on its domestic market alone. And looking back over here in Malaysia, the above example makes whatever claims by local players on better specs, better built and higher manufacturing cost were constrained by low domestic consumption, an absolute BS. Why build a car, if it doesnt aim for becoming one the best in the world? Why build car when one would complacent with whichever achievable? Why build a car when they are not aim for export? Go back to car assembly, that will make more money for the company, the amount of manpower and supplier that produce parts are still require even theyre assembling cars. Forget about Koreans Hyundai and KIA, one day, this brand will be as popular as the Korean, I wonder how far would our national brands be by then? Without the NAP, and with those money that Malaysians save on cars, they could be more useful and improve on all other areas in the country most certainly. This is just my thought and wish.
