MAGIC MASIC KNOCKS GEDDINGTON FOR 156!! After last weeks loss Bowden looked to change their recent run of form away to Geddington 2nds. On a hot day Bowden won the toss and elected to bat. Openers Karl Pollard and Dan Masic put a first wicket stand of 130 with Pollard contributing 40 runs.But it turned out to be Dan Masics day. He bludgeoned the Geddington bowling to all parts scoring a magnificent 156 not out from 150 balls with 23 boundaries. He was supported well by Tony Roberts (38) and Charlie Standley (19) not out. Bowden amassed 277 from 45 overs, declaring with 5 overs remaining. Knowing that they had 55 overs to bowl Geddington out, Bowden started poorly. It was only when Tom Reeve struck twice in over that Bowden started to take control. With the wickets being shared by Sam Freer 3-22 Tony Roberts 3-36, Brad Downing 2-42 and Tom Reeve 2-16 Bowden bowled Geddington out for 139 winning by 138 runs. Next week Bowden entertain local rivals Kibworth at the Recreation Ground.
