MALAGA GROUP WEATHER UPDATE Wednesday 13th August 2014: Hi everyone and a jolly good day to you all!!!.....The good news is that you have one more day of heat to suffer and then we expect that temperature to dip nicely to a more comfortable level......unless your an Alorian of course!!!......And with the heat in mind today you continue with a YELLOW ALERT for the Sol y Guadalhorce and the Axarquia weather reporting areas for temperatures up to 36 degrees!!!......That sun therefore remains bright in the sky for today and the possibility of strong winds building off shore later in the day!!!......Tomorrow that temperature starts its decline and if your in the far west of the province your day could be a cloudy one as the microclimate of the Straights of Gibraltar gets pushed east by a fair wind from the Atlantic pushing against a strong Levante from the East!!!!!!......The rest of you should remain nice and sunny but with fluffy stuff likely and by the afternoon that wind direction will flip to come from a cooler, believe it or not, southerly direction!!!......This will pushes on shore moisture, cloud development is therefore expected over the following few days and with it a now smidgen of a chance of one or two drops of rain particularly on Saturday!!!.......Sunday is to have fluff but Monday you are back on the Costa del Sol in all its glory!!!......Do spare a thought for those expats who chose incorrectly to reside or vacation way up in the north east on Spain Costa Brave One, the Costa Brava as it was once known, as they are having a real horrible summer with storm after storm after huge rains!!!.......And thats your weather as it stands......So, a moment to talk shop me thinks and the general running of the group and its threads!!!......Most of you have travelled far in this realm of urgent reporting and with me have seen chaos reign supreme.....The other day in this group we reported on a fire in the Montes de Malaga and applied slight control in that members involved were invited to post in the main thread.....At the start one member did post up seeing smoke and a request made to that member to re-headline the post to make it the official thread for the event but alas after 5 minutes and no change a new thread was commenced with the immortal words. FIRE ALERT etc......Yes, a couple of other posts where put up, and this will happen, but in the main the official thread remained and in my personal view, although long, appeared to work well.....so, for today a question, do we retain information in a single official/first thread (Providing first thread is headlined correctly stating clearly its purpose), or do we stop the thread after a certain length and open new thread???......There is no option that says to just let the threads flow as it really dont work as can be seen on another group so dont even consider it!!!.........I am somewhat busy today and I do not want to start a pole but merely ask you members to reply under this a simple single thread or otherwise......Jo n Jo the Mods of the group will be hovering and It will be interesting to see what we all agree on......have fun in the sun and stay cool and keep those eyes peeled for fire as always......Jim Fraser for the EiALERT NETWORK :)
