MANU first team selection...players and their profile.......David De Gea- One of the most talented young keepers in the world at the moment. He has seemed to get adjusted to the league now a lot more than the previous years. Rafael- The Brazilian right back has gone from strength to strength combining his defensive skills with his attacking instincts. A threat for any team on any given day. Phil Jones- Jones has been performing decently for his side for quite some time now. Probably not the best in the world, but a sensible defender nonetheless. Nemanja Vidic- The leader of the team in the true sense of the world. Very strong, and solid in his position. Patrice Evra- Age may seem to catch up with him now, but still one of the best left back in the Premier League. United should not sulk missing out on Baines because Evra can more than do the job. Michael Carrick- He was one of the main stalwarts of the side last season. Controlled the proceedings for deep with ease and perfection. One of its kinds! Marouane Fellaini- The latest recruit. There can be some confusion about his position, but no one can doubt his ability. On his day can run through any defence. Nani- He was tipped to leave the club just a few days ago, but now seems to have achieved the faith of the manager with a five year contract extension. A decent player at the most. Rooney- After all the dramas in the transfer season, he has decide to stay at United. Will surely occupy the number 10 position of the club. Shinji Kagawa- Making a player of his class sit on the bench is an absolute waste of his talent. Can operate from the right flanks with panache. Robin Van Persie- The biggest reason for United to lift the trophy last season. If United have to perform well, a lot will depend on this Dutch striker.
