MAY ALMIGHTY ALLAH SAVE OUR DEAR COUNTRY NIGERIA. I remember when I left kano by 10am to Abuja and come back before 6pm on the same day without seeing any checkpoint. I remember when we counted some few houses that had generator and spent some weeks without using it. I can still remember when we used to spend years without seeing a soldiers moving around. I also remember when we could only hear a gun sound and bomb blast in the movie . I remember when we used to watch durba during sallah without any fear and everybody was so excited to witness. I still remember when we used to trek far in the night during Ramadan for Tahajjuud. I remember when were asked what it means by curfew non of us could explain. I still remember when graduates have their job at hand immediately they finished NYSC. I remember when some students prepared to stay in school when universities were closed for break. I remember when our police officers were respected. I cry whenever I spend more than 6hr from kano to Abuja. I cry whenever I see soldiers moving around the city. I cry whenever I hear noise of generators coming out from almost every house. I cry whenever I heard that the durba will not hold because of insecurity. I cry when I heard a 5 year old saying bomb bomb. I also cry whenever I heard that there is curfew in so so area. I cry whenever I meet my school mates without having any job. I cry when I heard the place that used to consider the safest and some students refused to go on vacation is being burnt and hundreds of students were abducted. I still cry whenever I see a police man that is supposed to protect you and your property collecting N20 and asking for na mai and pure water on the road. Why will I not cry if I compare Nigeria in those years and our present situation? May Almighty Allah help our dear country.
