MEET THE CAST OF GODSPELL - JEDD SHERMAN (JESUS) Jedd Sherman (Jesus) – Jedd lives in Red Oak with his family, which includes: Kara Sherman, wonderful wife; Jared Sherman, senior at ROHS this upcoming year; Abigail, Jareds younger sister who will joyfully be annoying her brother as a freshman at ROHS; Eva, Jareds youngest sister who will be entering middle school in the fall. Jedd has always enjoyed the performing arts since his father was a professional musician in NYC and Jedd was exposed to this discipline while growing up in the NYC metro area. However, Jedd did not step on stage until he was 27, never confident enough to follow in his fathers footsteps. His first show was in the cast of EVITA. From there, Jedd has been in community theater productions both in New Jersey and Iowa, which have included: PIRATES OF PENZANCE, INTO THE WOODS, SHE LOVES ME, GRAND HOTEL, FUNNY GIRL, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, ONCE UPON A MATTRESS, SOUND OF MUSIC, THE WIZARD OF OZ, THE MUSIC MAN, THE CAROL and GUYS AND DOLLS. Jedd has had the good fortune to be in INTO THE WOODS twice. The first time he was Jack and the second time he was the Baker. He loves the show but would say that being the Baker was a dream role. I can really relate to the character and the music and message is great! Jedds dream role is, interestingly enough, Judas in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, since the songs for Judas are awesome. Jedd really enjoys community theater since it is a great outlet for being creative. Come see Jedds CCT Debut in the production of GODSPELL - August 1st and 2nd at 7:30pm and August 3rd at 2:00pm on the Cardinal Theatre stage at CHS.
