Trip to New Orleans complete. Here is your official must do list: Mr. Bs Bistro - classic creole in the FQ - seafood gumbo and bbq shrimp - 1.50 lunch martinis. Carousel Bar - rotating bar at the Hotel Monteleone in the FQ - grab seats at the bar and order a Vieux Carre. Cafe du Monde - famous beignets. Cemeteries - I liked the St. Louis #1, where you can see Nick Cages pyramid. Garden District - huge houses on 1st and 3rd avenue, cool shops on magazine st. Cochon Restaurant - like a creole Publican - delicious, casual, creative. French 75 Bar at Arnauds - old school classy cigar bar - great cocktails including the namesake. Frenchmen St. - live jazz at a number of clubs on this street. Spotted Cat was the best we saw. Dat Dogs - best late night drunk food around. Willie Mays Scotch House - the best fried chicken - worth the trip up to treme. Red Fish Grill - perfect happy hour oysters and 2 for 1 beers - best oysters we had. Sazerac Bar at the Roosevelt Hotel - super classy bar - order a Ramos Gin Fizz and a Sazerac. Commanders Palace - amazing old restaurant - this is THE place if I had to pick just one. Cane and Table - great tiki drinks near Frenchmen st. Sylvain Restaurant - dark chic modern restaurant with good cocktails in the FQ. Kingfish - great cocktails in what is probably a really good restaurant in FQ. Parkway Bakery - super legit poor boys - worth the hike. Central Grocery - muffuletta sandwich near cafe du Monde. Not recommended: Luke (for dinner, I hear the oyster happy hour is good). Acme Oyster House (there are better out there).
