He was nurtured initially by artist Shomi Banerjee and is now blooming under the guidance of Bangalore based artists MG Doddamani as well as Shan Re. Three themes run through this particular remarkable collection “Melange”-‘Human forms and faces’,’ ‘Life under the sun’ and ‘architectural forms’. As one views these facets of creativity and form they can be rest assured, according to the artist, to feel the echo of the same within them too, touching a chord, rekindling an experience. In ‘Life under the sun’ series, Sun dominates his work. The image of sun symbolizes a sense of hope. Light signifies truth while learning is portrayed as a guiding force in various facets of life. The known and unknown seem to find a new interpretation in ‘Architectural forms’ series where the artist tries to portray architectural forms through an imaginative eye. “Expressive strokes in strong vibrant colours, Sanket’s work is simple yet bold. His creative ideas take amazing forms on the canvas. Having an immensely creative, observant and sensitive mind, Sanket not only understands the society aound him but is also concerned about the underprivileged milieu. His art reflects the compassionate and sensitive elements of his nature and his process of evolution,” says one of his mentors M.G Doddamani, while defining the depths of his students works of art. While his initial guru Shomi Banerjee calls Sanket’s work as an evolutionary process, Shan Re, one of his present teachers refers to his creativity as way of regulating his emotions and elevating his mood. “His colors are sometimes strong and vibrant; sometimes muted, with distorted images depending on his mood. He is a highly imaginative and impulsive painter. Sanket is in a process of evolving and discovering himself. I am sure that creativity and innovation will help him develop psychological and emotional resilience, “ shares Shan Re. An exhibition of his paintings was also held at Renaissance Gallerie. He shares the joy of art with special children by conducting workshops for them. Sanket and Art Sanket was allured by colours even from the age of three.
