MENTAL HEALTH Mental Health Week is held nationally every October. It aims to promote social and emotional well being in the community. First things first every day; because where youre headed is more important than how fast youre going (1997) Stephen Covey has distilled the principles contained in his companion volume First things first into daily guidelines to rich relationships and the confidence that comes with knowing where youre headed and why. 12. Time on time out, flexible work solutions to keep your life in balance (1999) Flexible work practices are emerging to help both employer and employees. Part-time work, job sharing, extended leave, home offices and flexible hours can create workplaces that suit the needs of everyone. MajGen John Cantwell’s book “Exit Wounds” (2012) where Cantwell tells his story of coming home in 2011 to be considered for the job of chief of the Australian Army. Instead, he ended up in a psychiatric hospital.
