Mushroom Turnovers A delicate pastry holds a filling of sautéed portabella mushrooms and shallots in a porcini and shitake wine sauce, flavored with lemon thyme and crème fraiche. $9. Soup Curried Zucchini A delicious and slightly piquant combination of zucchini, potatoes, onions, and house-made vegetable stock. $8. Salad An assortment of our own organic greens, carrots, baby radishes, and cucumber, garnished with nutritious hemp heart seeds. Choice of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, & garlic dressing; lime dressing; or honey mustard dressing. $7. Entrées: Pork Tenderloin Medallions Marinated in Caribbean spices overnight, then grilled and served with a raspberry mint sauce and seasonal vegetables. $26. Jamaican Jerk Chicken The practice of jerking meat is unique to Jamaica, where the neighborhoods become filled with delicious spicy aromas. Here in Steuben, organic chicken is marinated overnight in Alva’s traditional jerk rub, then broiled and served in a tasty sauce of chicken stock, onions, tomatoes, fresh herbs, and spices. Served with coconut milk rice & beans and seasonal vegetables. $27. Sautéed Maine Shrimp We prepare a light sauce with sautéed shallots, wine, lemon, butter, olive oil, light cream, tarragon, and parsley, and then add delicious, locally harvested shrimp for a real Maine Coast treat! Served with seasonal vegetables. $29. Spinach and Ricotta Roulade A light soufflé made with eggs from our happy hens and filled with ricotta cheese, spinach, caramelized onions, and roasted red peppers, then topped with a wild mushroom sauce made with shitake, crimini, and baby bella mushrooms, shallots, herbs, garlic, wine, and a splash of light cream. Served with seasonal vegetables. *Vegetarian* $26. Broiled Halibut Steaks Broiled halibut steaks are seasoned with garlic, butter and fresh herbs and garnished with a curry cream sauce and served with twice-baked potatoes and seasonal vegetables. $24. Goat Curry Slow-cooked, falling-off-the-bone, tender goat, marinated overnight in Alva’s curry blend, then browned and stewed with onions, tomatoes, and carrots. Served with coconut milk rice & beans and seasonal vegetables. $30. Poached Salmon Wild-Caught Alaskan Salmon with a lemon dill cream sauce. Served with herb-roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables. $28. Desserts: Chocolate Mousse Creamy mousse served with freshly picked raspberries and whipped cream. $9. Lavender-Infused Crème Brûlée A luscious, velvety, smooth, baked custard made with lavender-infused milk and eggs from our own free-range happy hens. $9. Sherbet Refreshing house-made lemon sherbet, served with fresh fruit. $9. Blueberry Pie Local blueberries baked into a delicious pie and served à la mode. $9.
