METAMORPHOSIS (Excerpts from Devotional Box - a daily devotional by Dr. Isaiah & Lianna Wealth) * * * 11th November, 2014. * * * TITLE:. DO NOT SABOTAGE YOUR PRAYERS SCRIPTURAL TEXT: (1Kings 18:43) “And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, go again seven times.” * * * In praying God’s will into the earthly realm, there is the place of persistence; incubating your prayer until an answer comes. We see this in the example of Elijah while he asked for rain (1Kings 18), and Daniel, when he sought the Lord for the restoration of Israel. They prayed without ceasing; not quitting nor murmuring while the answer tarried. This is instructive. Each time you pray about an issue, you must ensure that you do not complain about it thereafter, for in so doing, you destroy your prayer channel and abort your answer. If you have prayed about a matter, do not complain or entertain worry, but sustain your prayer with thanksgiving till an answer comes. As you discipline yourself this way, testimonies of answered prayers would be commonplace in your life. Say Amen to that! Resume at your prayer altar today knowing that everything you ask in line with God’s Word is already answered (I John 5:14). Pray about an issue as often as it resurfaces on your mind, and as long as it takes for the answer to materialize, never stop giving Glory to God while you wait. You will surely testify! * * * ISAIAH PROPHESIES: May doubt be eliminated from you today in Jesus name. * * * ACTION POINTS DO THIS: Pray right now concerning some pending issues in your life , and begin to thank the Lord for answers daily. * * * SAY THIS: I decree and I declare that the Glory of God surrounds me always. * * * STUDY YOUR BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: HOSEA 10&11, JOHN 18, PROVERBS 15 * * * CHRISTIAN MISSION FOCUS AMERICAN SAMOA Majority are Christians but 10% are unreached with the Gospel of Christ. There is however, remarkable growth among cults (especially Mormons) in the mainline churches of the nation. * * * PRAY FOR AMERICAN SAMOA : We are praying that the eyes of the Christians in American Samoa be flooded with the light of the Gospel. * * * STARTUP PRAYER: Dear Father, help me to believe that you hear me always, I refuse unbelief and doubt in Jesus name. * * * PRAYER OF CONSECRATION Oh Lord my God, I thank you for your mercy over my life. As the year winds up, I ask for wisdom to position myself in the place of advantage, so that I may in nothing be short of that in which you have written of me. Speak to me that word that would radically retime, reschedule and restore my destiny.
