MISSING WEATHER DATA: Due to an outage at the Air Route Traffic - TopicsExpress

MISSING WEATHER DATA: Due to an outage at the Air Route Traffic Control Center in northern Illinois, many weather observation stations across our area are not reporting data. Numerous weather instruments around our local airports are maintained by the FAA. That means much of the data on our StormTracker Channel, our weather app and our on-air weather graphics system will be incomplete. For smaller communities (Winamac, Niles, Plymouth, Sturgis, etc), I have data being pulled in from private weather sensors. Unfortunately, there is no way for me to tweak the larger cities where we get the data from that is maintained by the FAA. At this time, it is unknown when the data will be restored. This poses NO threat to anyone. Its simply an inconvenience. I wanted to give you a heads up in case you see a weather observation that looks a bit odd to you. Ill update when we learn more. Thanks.
