MISSION STATEMENT. of G.O.L.F THE REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD OGUN PROVINCE 3 YOUTH DEPARTMENT GOLF G-Generation O-Of L-Leaders F-Fellowship About The Name Golf Generation: - Mean the whole body of individuals born about the same time, the period of time during which those individuals live, a race, group, birth and offspring. Bible reference Psalm 45:17a says” I will make your Name to be remembered in all Generation” We need to make the name of our God to be remembered also, through our way of life. And also our Name must be remembered for good in this Generation. Acts2:40b says: ” be saved from this PERVERSE GENERATION” We are the ones that want to stand out for Jesus in this perverse generation. We want to be the best among equals, saved from this wicked and unjust world, through the blood of Jesus. 1pet 2:9 says “ but you’re a chosen generation a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light’ We are once Nobody, full of evil and wickedness, living in darkness. But we are called according to his will and purpose to show forth, display and manifest his virtues and perfection in this Generation!!! We are the sets of Generation who has been chosen to make positive changes common. Of: - A particular subject or thing. Leader: - “Our Lord Jesus Christ is the first and the last ‘greatest Leader’ of all time” Who is A Leader? Someone who is spiritual Someone who controls a team Who Is competent Someone who Influence others or inspire others Leaders are the one who never aspire to lead, but serve. Types of Leaders Natural leader Confident Knows men Makes own decision Ambitious Originates own methods Enjoys commanding others Motivated by personal interest Independent Spiritual leader Confidence in God Also know God Seek God’s will Self effacing Fellow God’s method enjoy serving others Motivated by Love God dependent Bible references Marks of good leader - Num 27: 15-17 Leaders don’t lead alone-Deut 1:9-13 Inner qualities of good leader- Deut 1:13-18 Good leaders accepts responsibilities- 1 chronicle 21:8 Leading by example- Nehemiah 3:1 Thing that qualifies a leader- Acts 6:33, Titus 1:5-9 What happen to those who criticize God’s leader Acts 13,11kings2 Examples of Leaders:- Jesus, Moses, David, Joshua, Elisha, Nehemiah Fellowship:- Means friendship, company, union, oneness, or partnership. A group of people who share an interest or belief. Hebrews 10:24-25, Philippians 1:7-8, 2:1-4, 1john1:6-7, gen3:8-9.
