MIT CASE COMPETITION: We are pleased to announce that a team representing Georgetown University MPRE has advanced in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) CASE Real Estate Competition for the second year in a row. The CASE Competition focuses on real estate acquisition, development, and financial underwriting. Teams comprised of four graduate students are given a specific development site that could be located anywhere on the globe. Teams have five days to submit a concept narrative, a letter of intent (LOI), a final presentation, a full pro forma model, and a final offer price. This year’s competition was focused on a redevelopment site located in London’s South Bank submarket. Georgetown University was selected as one of 12 semifinalist universities out of 48 overall entries that were invited to London to compete in front of a panel of esteemed industry professionals and city representatives. The Georgetown team is comprised of team captain Damon Orobona (Miller, Miller and Canby), Jamie Minkler (BF Saul), Mark Schrieber (Torti Gallas), and Nicole Snarski (HFF). Damon was also the team captain of Georgetown’s finalist team in the 2013 MIT CASE Competition that was held in Boston. Please join us in wishing this year’s team great success in London!
