MMm a horizontal post (although written by SH with a few AB comments) to let you know I am about ;) Recent Results The Wormald Cup was won by Jason Nike Anthony with an outrageous net 60, beating another new face, Liam Doherty, who came in with a net 62. (The guys practising are reaping the rewards) The May Midweek Medal was won by Alex Day with a net 65 whilst the May Saturday Stableford was won by Dave McJannet with a massive 48 points. The Weekly Summer Thursday Medal trundles along predictably with 15th May being won by Alex Day (67), 22nd May being won by Charlie Randall (65), the 29th May being won by Alex Day (69) - you get the picture but wait! Whats happening? The world had gone crazy! Brad Abelse won the 5th June event with a net 63. Well done Brad - not for winning but for breaking the stranglehold that Chuck and Alex had. In last weekends June Medals, Division One was murdered by Laughing Boy Chuck Randall (not him again) with a net 62, a mere 8 strokes ahead of Kevin Batkins, Daniel Baranowski and Jeff Birch, who all came in with net 70 (Kevin taking second place on countback). The Division Two competition was won by Malcolm Smith with a net 64, beating John Lewis on countback. Im sure Mr Lewis had been philosophical about the result, given that he had a 64, and has not called Malcolm every name under the sun.... I cannot believe the moans and groans about the rough with theses scores being posted!! Around the Course The rough mower is broken and temporary repairs are being carried out for the next 2 weeks. The rough is messy due to the warm and wet weather (set to continue). A notice has been posted around the club, explaining in more detail what is happening on the course. The new 5th tee will be in play from the July Medal. That may affect some of the recent low scores!
