‘MORINGA CAN CURE CANCER, HIV/AIDS’ Secretary-General of the Association of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities (AVCNU),Professor Michel Faborode has called on Nigerians to explore the benefits of Moringa. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the second University of Ilorin international conference on Moringa, he said the plant can cure all kinds of ailments He said there is no disease Moringa cannot cure as it contains ten amino acids,which are not only useful but also relevant to the human body.“It has vitamins, minerals,calcium, fibre,iron protein, glucose among others. Moringa is a magic tree, which provides remedy and cure for all illnesses. It has diverse usage. It cures hypertension, diabetes, cancer and even HIV/AIDS”, he said.Faborod said government at all levels must work to sensitize the people on the benefits of Moringa. In his opening remarks, Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin Professor Abdulganiyu Ambali said: “The university’s Moringa Plantation Management Committee has been active not only in ensuring the production of authentic Moringa products, but also in advancing knowledge and deepening studies in its uses and derivaties.
