MOSAIC WORKSHOPS: Let me clarify how the workshops work. As soon as you sign up for a class, I will talk to you - I will try to get you to go to goodwill or somewhere and find a base to do your project on (like a wood tray, wood lazy susan, a small wood table, etc.) Then I will ask what design you would like to do. I will draw it out in a simple enough pattern for a class. We will have it all laid out prior to class. From there, it is my hope that you will continue to work on and complete your project by yourself (or come to another class of course). If you do it this way, u will need to buy your own nippers and collect your own plates, glass etc you want to use for pieces. BUT...if you just want to learn how and want the basic project, I will give u a small board with a simple design that you will be able to complete in class. In this class you will learn the tools to use, the right glue, cutting techniques, and you will cut and glue your own pieces. I have all the pieces you will need (and oh so much more lol) Bring beads, jewelry pieces, anything you like or have been keeping. We will include it in your piece. You WILL NOT GROUT in this class. It is impossible to grout with wet glue. You can either come to another class, where we will all grout together, or I will give you clear instructions on how to grout it at home. Let me just say that I am extremely flexible and easy to work with. Whatever you want to try, tell me about it. We will make it happen. The more artsy and unusual, the better. We have an absolute ball at every class, and if you ask any of the past students, I know they will agree. So I hope that explains things a little better. Its been awhile since I have had a class, and I only want 3 or 4 at a time. They will be held in my garage at my home. Im happy to answer any questions. Also look for more class project pics to be posted. Im trying to round them all up!
