MOTTVILLE SPEEDWAY JUNE 23 RESULTS! MOTTVILLE, MI., SUNDAY, JUNE 23, 2013 Adam Litaker, Bobby Laughter, Chad Gray and Brian Englehart won features on a hot and humid Sunday at the historic Mottville Speedway! It was triple points night and trophy night and that produced the largest crowd for the 4th Sunday in June since 1993 and the highest car count since 2001! Sportsmen season points leader Litaker won his 4th feature of the season with a 20 lap victory over Brandon Frost, Tim Craig, Eric Vance, Bradley Blackburn, Jr. and JD Dennis. Dennis won the dash over Frost and Blackburn and Litaker won the heat over Blackurn and Frost. Laughter had to drive a tremendous race to win his 4th Mini Stock feature of the season in a 25 lapper! Dennis Zimmerman was a close 2nd followed by Chad Wiser (a season high 3rd!), Joe Gravenstuk, Marcus Carlson, Ron Laughman, Dennis Yoder, Aaron Zimmerman,Louis Davis, Doug Ordway and Craig Johnson. Yoder won the dash over Laughter and Wiser. Yoder won the first heat over Aaron Zimmerman and Davis. Laughman, racing at the historic Mottville Speedway for the first time this season, won the 2nd heat over Dennis Zimmerman and Laughter. Chad Gray won the 15 lap Mini Thunder Car feature over Jack Hurford, Danny Filson and Ed Martz. Gray won the heat over Hurford and Filson. Thanks to the fine sponsorship of Rod Roberts, Frank Glonek and Merle Holden Insurance, the Hornets had the biggest pay-off ever at Mottville-$200-125-100-75-50-40-30! The feature went 25 hard charging laps with lots of cautions! Brian Englehart took home the hard earned victory over Trevor Martz, Samantha Wolkens, David Terry, Ben Heath, Joe Lambright, Scott Binkley, Tyler Mead, Mark Shipley, Jeff Harrell and Mark Ellsworth! We are most grateful to Ellswoth for keeping the mosquito problem down! Martz won the dash over Engelhart and Wolkens. Lambright won the first heat over Binkley and Mead while Harrell won the 2nd heat over Englehart and Wolkens. More in Promoter’s Point next week! Sunday, June 30 the Karts return to action. Friday, July 5 will be our Mid-Season Championship trophy night! Thursday practice is from 6 PM to dark.
