MUMBAI: The Joint Admission Board of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), which met on15 th Sunday, has decided not to have a computer-based JEE-Advanced 2014. Instead, aspirants will have a paper-pencil test. The board will also soon set up a committee to study the online process and implement it in future. Members of the board, which is the highest body that takes decisions on admissions to IITs, said that the JEE-Advanced 2014 will be conducted as it was in 2013. "There will no changes for the 2014 exams. We will follow a systematic approach before implementing the computer-based test. The board will set up a committee to study the online process and only then will implement it in future," said NK Panigrahi, JEE-Advanced 2014 chairman. While it has been decided that the JEE-Advanced 2014 will be held on May 25—a week in advance compared to last year—an official announcement will be made soon. While the JEE-Main may be conducted on April 6, 2014, CBSE, which conducts the exam, will soon announce the date.
