MURDER INVESTIGATION - Officers have launched a murder investigation after a body of a woman was found on a Smethwick Street last night. Officers were called to Cheshire Road just before 11.50pm following reports of a person collapsed. A 48-year-old woman was confirmed dead at the scene. The street remains cordoned off whilst police investigate the circumstances surrounding her death and detectives are appealing to anyone who was in the area last night to come forward.
