He has studied the Qur’anic sciences for close to ten years in Egypt. In this early morning session he will recite various portions of the Qur’an as a means of motivating women to embark on the journey towards studying the Qur’an and its meanings. His recitation is truly inspirational and is sure to move hearts. He will also share a short bit of advice. 10.30am INDIVIDUAL ADDRESS Speaker: Shanaaz Jeebhai Topic: Befriending the Qur’an – How and Why? Description: In this session the speaker, who is heavily involved in studying and teaching the Qur’an as well as the Arabic language, will share her perspectives on how to connect/re-connect with the Book of Allah. INCLUDES A QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION 3.00pm INDIVIDUAL PRESENTATION Speaker: Quraysha Ismail Sooliman Topic: Fostering a Spirit of Sisterhood in our midst Description: The speaker will enlighten delegates about the foundations of sisterhood in Islamic history and how to implement them in our country, where Muslims hail from different ideological, racial and cultural backgrounds, and such diversity often seperates rather than unites.
