MY AIMS AND OBJECTIVES AS MEMBER OYO STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY REPRESENTING GOOD PEOPLE OF CONSTITUENCY 2,COMPRISES WARDS 6,8,9,10,11 and 12,IBADAN NORTH-EAST,LOCAL GOVERNMENT,OYO-STATE.Having taken my time to study all political events taken place in Oyo-State,most especially in capital city,Ibadan since return of democratic government in 1999.Let me,at this juncture, commend all former governors and present governor from late former governor Alhaji Lam Adesina,senator Rasheed Ladoja,chief Adebayo Alao Akala and present governor Senator Abiola Ajumobi,all have contributed their quotas one way or the other.Having said this,as a poplitical-scientist cum grassroot politician,i was compelled to conduct public opinions when it was obivious that people were and are still disillusioned and also disenchanted with past and present administrations,most especially the electorate.Through the conduct of my public opinion with market men and women,okada riders,tailors,hairdresser,vulcanizers,motor spare part seller at gate,secondary school students,pepper sellers,babers,artisans etc residents all within my constituency,it was revealed that all political parties have dashed the confidence people have in their leaders.Also,people concluded that 2015 general elections are going to be personality contest.In other words,people would jettison parochialism,political and religious sentiments and favouritism and voting for the reliable,popular, credible and electable candidates who will deliver the pressing needs of the people rather than what leaders consider their priorities.Its to be noted that come 2015,personality of each candidate shall be completely considered.For example,those who have held political offices in the past and still want to contest shall be questioned on certain actions and inactions taken while in office.Also,those who have not had the privilege in the past of holding offices and still want to contest,surely their antecedents shall be put to test,if truly they are eminently qualified to occupy their desired offices.As a member of PDP who is contesting a seat in Oyo State House of Assembly,i do not want people to vote me because im a member of PDP,but people should vote me based on my ability to make meaningful contributions in law-making process that would bring about positive impacts on the good people of Oyo-State.My aims and objectives:As a lawmaker come 2015,my three major constitutional duties are(1)Representation;To represent the good people of constituency 2 Ibadan,North-East,Local Government with fear of God and with all sense of humility and responsibilty(2)Law-Making;To make positive laws for the improvements on socio-economic activities in Oyo-State.(3)Oversight function;This simply means my ability and intellectual sagacity to monitor and oversee the activities of all ministries,departments,agencies of State Government,and also to curb the excesses of would-be governor through the instrumentality of laid-down rules and regulations come 2015.Having explained my three major constitutional responsiblities as would-be Oyo-State lawmaker.My aims and objectives include working with would-be governor in actualization and realization of Ibadan-State through lobbying other would-be State lawmakers,Federal lawmakers and Federal Executive headed by would-be president.In addition,i would work assidously in making Alaakia Airport an international Airport with incoming State government and Federal Government.My visit to Alaakia Airport recently and my conversations with an official of Alaakia Airport revealed that,if Alaakia Airport becomes an international Airport that will create thousand of jobs for good people of Oyo-State.Also,this would facilitate the dualization of major roads that lead to Alaakia Airport.For example,Alaakia old-Ife road to Gate shall be dualized while Oremeji road leading to Airport shall also be dualized.The compensation of affected house and shop owners and others shall commence before the demolition excercise begins.In addition,the incoming administration shall give international facelift to premier hotel,Laafia hotel,while the government would partner with Greenspring hotel with aim of giving it international facelift and other hotels through PPP(Public-Private Partnership),and many other good things to come.At this juncture,i Ademola Aremu Adelowo hereby declare my ambition in seeking your vote in forth-coming general election come 2015 as member Oyo-State House of Assembly under the platform of PDP.Also,i use this medium to challenge other aspirants from APC,ACCORD PARTY and other political parties to a public debate that is based on issues of socio-economoic development of our people.Vote Ademola Aremu Adelowo a.k.a (triple A) for his ability to deliver.Surely,in God i put my trust.Long live constituency 2,long live Ibadan North-East Local Government,long live Oyo-State,long live Federal Republic of Nigeria.Happy Sunday to you all and i need your prayers.Cheers!
