MY GRANDCHILDREN, “WHAT A GIFT!” September 23, 2013 I never felt such love as the love I feel inside me now. My grandchildren taught me to love again, Somehow? I’ve watched them as they’ve grown, and I’m reminded once again. God has angels walking among us, I see them in my grandkids. Those tiny little faces looking up at me, wanting nothing more than to be held, they’ve set my spirits free. Those precious little hands holding mine as we walk. No way could they know how much I cherish every thought. I watch them as they eat, talking amongst themselves. My heart swells with pride, more treasures on my shelf. I live each day to see those faces, God has surely blessed my heart. Why me? I don’t know, but I’m willing to do my part. They run in and straight to grandpa, they hug my neck so tight. Just seeing them each day gets me through the lonely nights. I’ve been blessed with seven grandchildren, four girl and three boys. I guess that’s why every time I think of them my heart fills up with joy. I hope they know each day how loved they are, like I did when I was young. One day they’ll look back on this and my job will be done. It’s so hard to find the words, to show the love I feel inside. But just look upon my face and you will surely see the pride. “My Grandchildren, What a gift! Thank you Lord for loving me. Without you I’d be nothing, I am a blessed man indeed.” Fred Parks
