MY NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE IN 1993: During my near death experience I was confronted by a dark figure, that stood over me as I was dying on the floor of a friends apartment. I was not breathing & I somehow knew that this dark figure was waiting for me to die to claim my spirit. I wanted to pray & even though I had gone to Catholic school the majority of my childhood, for some reason I could not remember one. I could feel my life slipping away by the second, because I was not breathing & I was totally terrified. Then believe it or not, in my mind I called out the name of Jesus & all of a sudden the words of Our Father prayer began to fill my mind. In my mind I began to repeat the prayer & all of a sudden the living room wall was covered by a bright light that appeared like a sun ray. I had taken my eyes off the dark figure, because I was amazed at what I was now seeing on the living room wall; It was a shadow of a man. The man had a crown upon his head & he appeared to be sitting on a throne which was rising in the far corner like the morning sun. Automatically I knew it was the presence of God & as the shadow of him became larger before my eyes, the dark figure began to back away. Within seconds the dark figure had disappeared into the darkness on the other side of the room & I realized that I was breathing again. When I looked back at the wall where I had seen the presence of God, His image & the light had also vanished & it was now just a wall. That near death experience changed my belief in God forever & ever since then I have been truly faithful & devotedly seeking my God. As I got older & wiser, I understood that the image I witnessed lives inside of me & whenever I need him; all I have to do is reach within.
