MY PRAYERS AND ASPIRATIONS FOR MY BELOVED COUNTRY For me Bhutan - TopicsExpress

MY PRAYERS AND ASPIRATIONS FOR MY BELOVED COUNTRY For me Bhutan is a safe heaven and every day of my life, i feel so proud to be Bhutanese. Unlike some of our others felliws, nothing excites me to live in any other country. I was born a Bhutanese, I will live as Bhutanese and die a Bhutanese. As a person, i want to be a productive and useful citizen. People often misunderstand that to serve the country means one needs to be in government job. This is way too wrong to think so. Whether one is in the private or government sector, one can serve the nation by playing meaning and responsible roles. For me i know too well, that i was given a free education and thats is what made me the person today. I never forget to always thank our government and ofcouse above all our great and noble kings for the many good things that we enjoy today. My idea to be a responsible Bhutanese is simple. One does not need to play big roles but rather be a concious and civilized person. Show respect and concern for others and pay a little more attention to the environment around us. Simple manners and behaviors are just good enough. Have a civic sense all the time. While you seek for your freedom, respect others freedom. Bhutan has all the ingredients to be the greatest nation on earth although tiny in size. We have a peaceful environment, unique culture,:and a very clean environment. Of lately, we are witnising some social ills such as youth related problems. Allbsuch problems must be solved together - we as parents, teachers, students leaders and subjects.Politics seems to create disharmony amongst the people. Here every one must be cautioned that we should not be subdued completely by self-centered party aspirations and always place our national adpirations as first and foremost priority. If we are to prosper as a nation we all must work together. We should think alike , talk alike and act alike. The goverment of the day must always work together with the people. The people must respect the government. The need of the hour is to reduce bureacracy as much as possible. Leaders must be someone to lead and serve the people not boast of their status. Leaders must encourage and inspire others and create a family atmostphere everywhere. I hear many stories of Department heads being very cruel and selfish to their staffs. Many civil servants telks me very discouraging stories. My post is getting longer so i will continue some other time....
