MY SOUTH AFRICA ADVENTURE - DAY 6 (Sunday, June 15, 2014) - Cape Town A.K.A The Cape! We flew into Cape Town International Airport at about 1:14pm. It was a 2 hour fight from Johannesburg and I slept all the way but Im still tired. The view of the beach and the mountains from the plane were awe inducing! I cant wait to begin our tour. We were greeted at the airport by Frank, our driver and tour guide. We loaded up the van and headed to the Breakwater Lodge, which will be our resting place for the next 3 days. The lodge is in walking distance of the Waterfront. Later, after we got settled into the lodge, we took the short walk to the waterfront. It reminded me of Santa Monica Pier in LA with the Ferris wheel and shops. Frank shared a lot of facts with us about The Cape on our ride from the airport to the hotel, which I will include in my next update :-) We enjoyed a nice dinner at a restaurant in the Cape Towns Waterfront. See pictures below. Fun Fact: South Africa is 5 times the size of Japan, and 3 times the size of Texas!
