Macaulay Tasks Isoko Indigenes On Unity The Secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG), Comrade Ovuozuorie Macaulay, has called on Isoko people to remain united and sustain their support for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). The SSG made the call while addressing over 300 beneficiaries of various empowerment programmes of the state government and those of us in government during an enlarged meeting at Nelrose Hotel, Asaba. Comrade Macaulay disclosed that himself, Hon Leo Ogor, Hon Timi Owhefere and Dr. Patrick Ferife took it as a responsibility in the past four years to empower some persons in the form of monthly salaries to enhance their living conditions. “The over 300 peopl,e including youths and women you saw in the hall today are people who are either benefitting from government empowerment programmes or those directly benefitting from us”, he said. He equally advised the people not to relent in their support for the present administration, adding that they should also ensure victory of PDP at the forthcoming local government elections in the State. The beneficiaries and other PDP leaders and supporters while commending the SSG and his team for their benevolence, passed a vote of confidence on Hon Leo Ogor and Hon Tim Owhefere for their effective representation, assuring of their resolve to return them to the House of Representatives and Delta State House of Assembly respectively, in 2015. In an Interview, Hon Leo Ogor and Hon Tim Owhefere commended the people for their support over the years and the vote of confidence passed on them, assuring that they would continue to deliver the dividend of democracy to them via effective and purposeful representation.
