Macharia Wanjohi raises a pertinent developmental issues and advices the governor to focus on development not on side issues. As an economist I want to underscore that view from Macharia. A governor is paid a lot of money and there must be a more strategic job for that position than philanthropy work through helping women groups and churches. You do not need to be a governor to do philanthropy work. Philanthropy work and attending social functions WILL NOT DEVELOP KIRINYAGA and the salary we pay to the governor cannot be accounted through such simple social activities.
