Machining Supervisor Latitude Corp - Verona, WI Latitude has over 20 years of experience providing individual metal parts and assemblies that are machined, fabricated and coated for a broad spectrum of customers including aerospace, defense, medical, appliance, analytical instrumentation, imaging, and others. We have state of the art manufacturing facilities in Verona WI and Tucson AZ employing approximately 200 dedicated workers. Our facilities specialize in precision CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication and coating. We are AS9100 certified. This Machining Supervisor position will report to the Production Manager and will be located at the Verona Wisconsin facility. This person will be responsible for driving quality and efficiency in the machining department including applying best practices and mentoring our staff of 20+. We are looking for a person that is a self starter and innovative thinker to help us achieve world class status in our machining department. Pay is commensurate with experience to $100,000. Education and Experience Requirement High school diploma or equivalent and 10 years machining experience in a defense/aerospace environment. Skills Required Possess extensive knowledge of the science of machining including programming, measuring and operation of equipment to accurately manufacture extremely close tolerance parts. 5 and 6 axis experience preferred. Extensive experience with and understanding of aerospace and defense contracts is required. Extensive knowledge of best manufacturing practices including lean manufacturing and error-proofing methodologies. Broad knowledge to perform routine, extensive and preventative maintenance and upkeep of equipment and instruments used. Ability to program CNC Machining equipment. Basic computer and writing skills. Excellent ability to read, understand and explain schematics, blueprints and/or technical manuals. Possess excellent math skills including use of a tape measure, caliper and micrometer to the fraction and decimal and understanding various processes and their precision limitations. Excellent leadership skills. Ability to assess operational requirements and to plan and organize work flow patterns and schedules. Ability to maintain high departmental cosmetic standards.
