What did the full moon have to say to you tonight? Did you hear its call? Did you feel its longing? I nearly missed it as I had the TV on but now that my husband is in bed and I sit in the quiet of the night I feel its pull. I close my eyes, my husband coughs in the other room and the woman upstairs is restless. I can hear her pacing. The floor creaks as a jet passes overhead drenching the night air with its engine sounds. Soon silence moves in, asks me to hold the moon in my heart, to let it fill me with the silver lunar magic of this Super Moon. Bringing a quiet assurance it invites me to take deep breaths, to feel my part within this weaving of night sounds. Inner, outer movements, bring a sense of my own strength. A strength that I have not felt in some time. Yet there is a softening of rough edges within this new-found strength. My momma bear is sleeping, her fierceness put to rest until she is needed again.
