Made it got ripped off on travel expenses told off a 70+ yr old woman..wow I told her she shoulda kissed me first when she handed me the money..I THINK she got it..somehow I knew this would happen and my expenses were not covered..but from now on the trip will have been worth it..that is after I find a way home..lol looking at cars today...somehow I have 3 that are showing up at my motel today to show me their cars..The last leg of the journey was wild and by the time I landed in Medford...limping in on a donut..I was shaking from head to toe..Saw a huge semi hauling toilet paper hit a wall in the steep narrow pass of Winnemucca..missed one heck of a photo op..lol but all I could do not to drop off the mountain at what looked like a few miles drop and no guard rail...then blew a tire on an 8% grade and while sitting there trying to put on my donut....a biker (motor not pedals..lol) turned around on the steep pass to come back and help me and hit a guard rail and broke the granddaughters leg and his knee was bungged up and it was crazy cuz on an 8% grade its nuts to even keep your vehicle parked and not sliding down the hill on a gravel shoulder.. they hauled away the truckercuz he was not supposed to be on that road at all..I donated two jackets to the granddaughter and the emt guy as it was 28 degrees up there and I sat with the 17 yr old girl till the emt came ( 1 hour!) and wrapped her up and put as much of a splint on the leg as I could with rocks and junk to keep it still cuz she was going into shock..What a scary event..my old emt training kicked in and I remembered all I was supposed to do but when I hit Medford..this all happened within 30 miles of my destination..I fell apart and could not stand cuz my knees were weak and warbbly..lol but I am here and safe and deal done..now ..figure out how to get home but first not moving for awhile I need rest and to regroup :)
