Madhubala...Ruma Devi (Kishore Das first wife) and Kishore Kumar were very good friends since their early days in the Industry...They all shared a great friendly bonding with each other.Madhubala,would often jokingly say to Ruma Devi...Never leave Kishore in your life...If you do so...then I will take your place in his life!....Call it destiny or anything...but somehow the marriage of Ruma Devi and Kishore didnt last long and they divorced and were separated.It was this period of time...when Madhubala was paired in most of her movies with Kishore Kumar as...Half Ticket...Jhumroo and Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi and their pair,quickly became the talk of the town. What drew her closer to Kishore..was his versatile talent and his ability to make her smile always.She would never find a sad moment when he was around...When the Press started harassing her too much about her and Kishores relation,it was then that she flared in anger during the premiere of one of her movie,holding Kishores hand and declaring it directly to all of them...I will die as Mrs.Kishore Kumar!..and so she did!....It was even a fact that Madhubalas father had then demanded a Meher of five lakh rupees from Kishore Kumar to marry his daughter.It was Madhubala who pleaded to him by saying Abba...Is baar toh mera suada na kijiye...Main inke saath bahut khush rahungi...Baksh dijiye mujhe!...It was just ill-fated destiny again that this marriage lasted for only 9 years and ended with her fatal illness that she suffered till the end...!!!
