Madras Cafe - It shows Hollywood "yes,we can". Screenplay - breathtakin pace,sleek,perfect for an espionage/political war thriller; Story - Dont go deep into authenticity (since based on some original incidents) and u ll love it;The topic was sensitive and so it is handled with great care. Acting - John is meant for this type of role only and so he did excellent. Rest is just apt. Direction - Shoojit surely proves his worth. After Yahan and Vicky Donor, this film is also another stepping stone for bollywood. Editing - One of the best ever done in commercial Hindi Film. It makes the film so crisp that one wont b to notice how 130 minutes get passed. Music - There is no song in the film, one is there in the End credit though all the three songs in the album are very beautiful. Shantanu Moitro did an excellent job in the background score by producing haunting yet melancholic music as per the requiremnt. Cinematography - The best part of this movie. Sometime it even stretches my memory to "Blood Diamond" or "Last king of Scotland" or "Green Zone". The top angle panoramic shots of Sri Lankan dense forest or sea-shore was just breath taking. FInal statement - go visit the CAFE.
